Seasonal Workshop Days at Green Farm Kent

3 hour workshops followed by a Green Farm Lunch, Optional extras include spa treatments, sauna, hot tub, woodland walks and cold swims. 

Inner Summer June 25th:

Shine the light of your attention inwards this summer with Senior Accredited yoga and meditation teacher Alex Hanly. This 3-hour yoga workshop is open to anyone who wants to move, stretch, breathe, contemplate, take stock and rest. 90 minutes of the 3 hours is given to exploring your physical body, releasing tension, increasing awareness and learning exercises to remedy pain and or injury. Then 60 minutes to study and practice basics of meditation, learning practical tools to increase awareness, self-empathy and inner calm. The last 15 minutes are dedicated to relaxation. There is space throughout the workshop for questions and enquiries into postures, theories and or wisdom teachings.

Inner Autumn 24th September: 

A time to let go, reflect and release old stories that no longer serve you. During this 3-hour workshop we will explore formed classical yoga postures of old and freeform movement explorations. For 30 minutes of the practice, we will explore a self-reflective exercise that increases awareness of the useful information that often lies behind our critical internal dialogues, this exercise supports us to increase self-empathy and self-awareness and let go of outdated ideas and or habits. Then we will finish by practicing simple yet effective meditation and breathing techniques that cultivate increased awareness, self-love, mental clarity and relaxation. 

Inner Winter 8th of December:

This yoga workshop with Alex Hanly offers a nourishing space for self-care and self-discovery. Come and tend to your body, heart, and mind through the practices of Yoga and Movement Medicine. We will explore formed classical yoga postures of old and the formless creative movement. You will learn simple yet effective meditation and breathing techniques that cultivate increased awareness, self-love, and mental clarity. We end this workshop with yoga Nidra relaxation, allowing your whole being time to experience the power of rest, winters yearly call to stop the external business of day-to-day life and repose in a place of quiet stillness.

Alex will guide you clearly and gently through this workshop at the end of it you will be ready to take these practices and begin to integrate them into your everyday life. Includes: 3 hour yoga workshop and and free range Green Farm Spa Lunch.

Optional Spa Extra: Book in for a 55-minute afternoon ESPA treatment and have free use of the outdoor hot-tub, sauna and natural pond. www.greenfarmkent.co.uk/treatments

Food

At Green Farm we have a very simple philosophy around eating healthily – cook fresh, home-produce when possible, use minimum processed foods, served as nature intended and cater to whatever dietary requirements you may have, whether you are here for a retreat, Spa Day or Stay. We like to cook ‘in season’ when we can with as much as possible coming from the Green Farm Community Wildlife Vegetable Garden and, of course, from our own farm animals. We are guided by our in-house naturopath, Alice Yeates, and we work with suppliers who share the same values as us.
