Inner Stillness December 11th
Meditation is a core practice of yoga; it is a practice of cultivating awareness. You don’t have to be an aesthetic monk to reap the benefits of this profound and time-tested practice.
During this workshop we explore yoga’s postural, breathing, meditation and relaxation practices to create a deeply nourishing space in which you can slow down and notice how you truly are. Moving and connecting to the physical body is essential for a successful meditation practice, particularly for modern day human who are often sedentary and disconnected to their physical bodies.
So, we will begin the day in movement to prepare the body-mind to sit comfortably and quietly. Through meditation better termed awareness cultivation you can recognise who or what you are beyond the limited experience of yourself as a body-mind. And experientially explore questions like “who am I?” or “what am I?”. Exploration of this kind brings greater depth, richness and meaning to life and steadies you in your centre.

Food
At Green Farm we have a very simple philosophy around eating healthily – cook fresh, home-produce when possible, use minimum processed foods, served as nature intended and cater to whatever dietary requirements you may have, whether you are here for a retreat, Spa Day or Stay. We like to cook ‘in season’ when we can with as much as possible coming from the Green Farm Community Wildlife Vegetable Garden and, of course, from our own farm animals. We are guided by our in-house naturopath, Alice Yeates, and we work with suppliers who share the same values as us.
